I remember when I was a kid, you could get refrigerated doughnut dough in a package like refrigerated biscuits. They were already portioned and the holes were cut but the center piece of dough was left in the package so you got doughnuts and doughnut holes. Once in a while, my Mom would buy a package and fry them up. I liked the doughnut holes best. So many foods I remember loving as a child are gone.
