I considered buying an air fryer a while back, but wondered whether air-fried anything could really be as tasty as oil-fried. Instead, I bought a Staub pot from y'all at an insane discount, and hey! it makes a great deep-fat fryer! and doesn't tie up my constantly used pasta pot. Win-win :-)
Note, when I was growing up back in the 60s, my mother used to make doughnuts from canned biscuits - deep-fried, of course, and shaken with cinnamon sugar. Fond memories!
