If you can locate Kate's buttermilk it's literally one of the few real buttermilk products out there -available at Whole Foods and local supermarkets. If you don't see it, ask your manager to get hold of it! I'm never without one in my refrigerator and it makes a world of difference in baking (and waffles and pancakes) like the author says!
