The grown rye is not harvested !! why a sad thing for a French person : rye bread is a staple and a must for seafood, it pairs so well, you wouldn't imagine smoked salmon not on a slice of salted buttered rye and a dash of lemon juice, or salmon eggs... or anything, or just grilled with salted butter !!!
