This really seemed like the cake for me, as cardamom and pistachio are two of my favorite flavors. I thought the cake was delicious, and I especially appreciated the rose water - it was just the right amount to lift up the flavors. However, even for my cardamom-loving taste buds, I thought it had a bit too much spice. I would recommend half as much in the icing and a smaller reduction in the cake itself, for a subtler but still very spice-forward cake.
