I want to thank KA for this super simple and very tasty recipe. I made a sourdough starter a few days ago. So far so good. I couldn't bring myself to throw away the discard starter. Figured if anyone knows what to do with it, it would be King Arthur Flour. I was right. I've been trying to conserve flour, butter, oil, milk, sugar, etc. What I love about this recipe, it only needs a cup of unfed starter, a small amount of sugar, salt and baking soda. That's it! I don't have the right equipment (muffin rings) so I used two small egg pans and they came out perfectly. Today I made them using a Lodge cast iron mini cake pan and they were my best ones so far. They can be fried in a small amount of oil for an extra crispy pancakish type thing, too...lol. You can make them savory or sweet.
