Yes, Cecelia. With this recipe making two large loaves with roughly 3 cups of flour in them each, that evens out to there being 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt per loaf which is pretty standard. You're welcome to lower it if you'd like. The lower the salt, the less tight the gluten will be and the looser and weaker the dough will be.
