Hi there! This is a wonderful question, for which we sadly do not have a perfect answer. More often we'll stick to the "do as the manufacturer suggests" advice, but we'll also sometimes lean on advising lining the inside with parchment if you don't want to use a spray. If you do want to use a spray, we always advise a natural one, that's designed for baking, like the Vegalene brand that we use. It's a bit of a personal preference sometimes, and as long as what you choose produces an amazing bake, then that is the way to go. Thanks for reaching out, and happy baking!
