PaperChef parchment paper can take the heat. The brown parchment from King Arthur works exceptionally well too. I haven't tried their white paper. I think it's because these are heavier weight papers; the stuff you get in the grocery store is pretty flimsy in comparison. I use parchment paper for baking sourdough in a Dutch oven, with the initial temperature at 500F. The edges of the paper brown but they hold up. 450 doesn't bother them at all. I think some aspect of that recommended maximum temperature stuff is the lawyers talking. Good paper can take it.
