When I was a teen, we used to go to the Best pizza place. The owners were 1st generation Italians. Mama used to sit by the cash register, keeping an eagle eye on the kitchen. Quite often the son would come and sit with us & visit. He said they were from Chicago. He also said his pizza was authentic Chicago style, even if others said a different style was authentic Chicago style. Now if I could only make Ministroni soup like they did! His pizza was cracker thin and cut into small squares. It was so crunchy and the toppings were perfect.
