I love the idea of using the sparkling sugar to top panettone -- I am preparing to make three before Christmas! The American-Style Panettone recipe calls for brushing with melted butter after baking. Will the sparkling sugar stay on with the help of the butter? I'd hate to sprinkle it on top and then lose it all when transporting it.
