Hi Abby! Unfortunately, there isn't an exact answer to that but it's safe to start with a teaspoon. For a batch of frosting that large though, a teaspoon seems too small so you'd want to add the vanilla to taste until it reaches the level of flavor you prefer. Annabelle@KAF
