Hi Gloria! Since it gives you a weight, that'll make things a lot easier so you don't have to deal with cups. So just weigh 10 oz of fresh strawberries. It calls for them to be sweetened so you'll want to sprinkle some sugar on them and let them sit and macerate for a while to draw out the juices and natural sugars. If the recipe needs them to be cold, you can always freeze fresh berries yourself.
