Here's a thought, for what it's worth, most jam and jelly have added pectin to thicken them: therefore are less apt to leak out of the pies. May I suggest adding your Pie Thickener or Instant Clearjel to your filling? These remind me of my late mom's Christmas "fill cookies" she made with sugar cookie dough and filled with apricot -orange filling-happy memories! Delicious and easy!
