My starter was in the fridge for about two weeks, unfed. I brought it out and have been feeding it at a 1:1:1 ratio every evening. When I check on it in the morning, it is bubbling, but it has developed a little bit of hooch. Not watery - just a grey-ish layer. I am trying to persist and hope that it will revive, but it doesn't seem to be growing at all. I have been on this sort of schedule for a while (fridge for two weeks, bake a loaf, back in the fridge). Am I correct in thinking that the grey-ish layer could be hooch? Why is it developing so quickly after it has been fed? Also, I have been stirring it back in each night. Thanks so much!
