My daughter-in-law gave me starter a few days ago. I fed it for the first time today but mistakenly added 4 ounces of water and one cup of flour. I realized my mistake and then added another 4 ounces of water to make it the right consistency. I assume that it will take longer to really get going again since there is less started in the mix. How should I proceed from here? Should I leave it at room temperature for a while before putting it back in the refrigerator? I do have one other question....at some point can I add whole wheat flour instead of all purpose flour or half-and-half? Thanks so much.
