How will I know if my starter is ready to bake bread? I started it about 11 days ago. Yesterday I woke up to an overflowing quart jar and I thought I had a success story! This morning it had not done much, but I had taken it out of the glass quart jar because of the overflow. (Put it in a stainless bowl...not a good idea) Today it is back in a glass quart jar. I discard every day, and make wonderful crackers with the discard.
