Hi Barb!

I started my starter about 9 days ago. I was seeing consistent activity, but very very little rise (mostly small bubbles, some rising). I switched to a twice a day feeding schedule following the recipe above on day 4. It is cold where I live so I thought that might be impacting my starter. Yesterday evening, I put my starter in the oven with the light on for a few hours, and immediately saw a lot of growth (about 50% from initial level). I fed the starter and put it back in the oven over night, but it hardly rose at all and there were only a few bubbles. I didn't leave the light on all night so the oven cooled down a bit. I fed again this morning and put the oven light back on, and it's been a few hours and there seems to be very little activity. Is this normal? Did I do something wrong? I am worried all the temperature changes have done something bad! any advice is much appreciated.
