Hi! I'm very new to this whole bread baking world, and I decided that quarantine was the right place to try sourdough! I'm currently on day 6 of your sourdough starter recipe (https://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/sourdough-starter-recipe) and I'm worried that I've managed to kill it! It had a really massive rising session overnight on day 4, rising at least double. But since then it's only risen a maximum of two centimetres between each feeding :( I keep it in my (turned off) oven in a mason jar with a tea towel draped over the top. I haven't experienced any "hooch" liquid on top and there are a few bubbles throughout, but the main thing that concerns me is that it's day 6 and I haven't had much rise action lately. Thank you!
