I'm on day 7 of my starter, and I've been having a hard time, as my apartment is at about 60 degrees (and my oven light doesn't work :( ). It was originally throwing off a lot of light brown hooch, so I started feeding it twice a day as suggested. I was feeding it according to the instructions in this post, but I was using 50/50 AP and whole wheat and then 1 day of just whole wheat (I ran out of AP). My starter has never doubled in size, but it's been consistently bubbling. It doesn't throw off hooch when I feed twice a day, but I only fed once yesterday, and there's hooch again today. Help!
