Hi Chris, I think it should work fine to switch to feeding your starter with unbleached all-purpose flour. It's not uncommon for starters in the early days of the creation process to produce an unpleasant aroma, so I don't think this is a sign that you have to begin again. I would continue on and see what happens. Let us know how it goes!
