Shirley, you're rolling so the filling stays inside; if you rolled the opposite way (which would actually be difficult), with the filling ending up on the outside, then yes, the top would be sticky. But honestly, these are simple to roll just as pictured. Glad they brought back some good memories for you! PJH@KAF
