I have used this same recipe since the 1960’s with the only exception being 1 1/2 t baking powder. After baking I’d individually wrap and freeze them and when we would go camping I’d toss them in the cooler so they acted as extre “ice” and the would thaw by the next morning for breakfast around the camp fire.
