Dorothy, you could use a ricotta-cheese filling to replace the frangipane if you're looking for a still tasty, nut-free option. Try using a 1/2 batch of the ricotta pie filling from this recipe here. The creaminess of the ricotta complements the apples perfect; it's almost like a cheesecake combined with a tart. Yum! Kye@KAF
