I searched on the internet for June apples in Oklahoma, Jill, and found the following. Hopefully this sounds like your June apple! "Red June, also known as Carolina Red June, is a traditional early southern apple. The fruit is smaller, round to round-oblong in shape with a deep red skin covering yellow fruit. The flesh is white with red staining and has a mildly brisk taste unusual for early apples."
