I mix my gravenstein with Granny Smith and a small amount of Golden delicious,then sprinkle a bit of fresh lemon juice over the apples. Add sugar to taste, small amount of flour and spices to taste..makes an excellent pie. Freeze some sliced gravensteins in freezer bags for an addition to winter apple pies, adds excellent flavor to pies.
