I've tried many varieties of apples and I vote for Jonathon apples as A Number 1. However, I can't find them anymore. My mother lives in San Diego and I am in the DC area and you can't get anything in either of those areas except the standards, Delicious, Granny Smith, Fuji, Gala, Ambrosia and a few Macintosh at the beginning of the season. Nothing compares to Jonathon.
