I am happy to see this recipe and I'm going to get some King Arthur flour today.
I have tried traditional Springerle recipes which are a lot of work and don't have a taste that appeals to many people. I had been thinking that surely there was a way to use these beautiful molds for shortbread. I have quite a collection of the molds and have often used them with air dry clay to make ornaments for friends and family. I am excited to think that this shortbread recipe will work. Thank you and I will report back.
