THANK YOU so much for the helpful advice! My dried starter was stored for 2 years. I really just needed some patience. The starter took a bit to come back to life but it is now bubbly and thriving. I also fed it some rye flour which probably woke it up some. That and the water temps you suggested brought it back to life. Many thanks and I am glad I didn’t give up!
