I have starter from 10 years ago that I froze and recently decided it was time to try using it for a recipe. I froze it in 1C increments and it worked perfectly in my recipe. When I was proofing the dough in the refrigerator, I did not get all the air out of the Tupperware bowl and my husband mentioned that the fridge smelled like bread. The cover had come off but I caught it in time and resealed the bowl so all was well. I may try making starter again. We have an old recipe from the 70’s that was named “Herman”.
