I dried my starter this summer, when we moved across the country and were on the road for several weeks, and it worked beautifully. I'm ready to get it going again, and the instructions seem pretty straightforward. I have one question, which may have been answered in the comments already but I didn't see it: in step 12 you discard for the first time and feed it. Is this discard ready to be used yet (maybe in crackers or something), or should I wait for the next feeding?
