So except for the gluten free, none of them are soft and chewy, and not cake like? And even the gluten free isn't chewy. None of these are what I am looking for in a sugar cookie. I like my sugar cookies, soft and chewy, even if a cut out. Which is why I usually undercook sugar cookies a tad to be sure they are soft and chewy. In your intro paragraph you mention soft and chewy, but as I read each description, I don't see one that is described as soft and chewy. Maybe I missed it. But thank you for the breakdown. It is a good list to have for when you go to different relatives houses that you know prefer their cookies a different texture than I do. That was a lot of work. Thank you.
