Thank you so much for such an educational post. I appreciate the photos of the different stages of candy making - now I have a much clearer idea of what I should be looking for when trying to get the the soft ball stage. But even more importantly, what a lovely tribute to your mother. Every mom wants to create those wonderful memories for their kids. Your mother obviously did a great job. Merry Christmas!
