Laura thank you for that tip. I also can't stand that lingering bacon smell past the breakfast hour! Also I have a gas oven (hate it but came w/the house - soon to get a dual-fuel - electric oven, gas cooktop) and I was afraid to bake bacon in a gas oven because of splattering grease might cause something to ...burn up?! Anyway, going with doing the bacon in a disposable aluminum pan as you stated. We do a lot on the gas grill...the Thanksgiving turkey, the Christmas ham..things that normally would go in the oven. I find it keeps the kitchen smelling better as the day goes on!
