I didn't know that whole wheat flour needs to be stored in the freezer. I have some whole wheat flour that's about a year old and just stored in the cabinet. Does it go bad? Do I need to throw that away and just buy a new bag? Whole wheat flour will go rancid over time. I would say that after a year that your flour may have gone bad. I would open the bag and give it a smell. If there is any "off" odor then I would throw it away.-Jon
