Would this recipe work with shortening or vegan butter in place of the butter? it sounds SO good but im nursing a 6 week old with a milk protein allergy and I've cut out ALL dairy. You'll want to choose the vegan butter in place of the butter for the silky smooth texture and buttery flavor. Happy Baking! Irene @ KAF
