As a newbie to bread baking and after some moderate success with plain sourdough, I thought I would try my hand at this as it looked delicious. While everything seemed to go to plan up until I began the baking process, once the loaf was in the oven, it seemed to slowly sink so the end result was more like a brick than a loaf. It tasted pretty good though with loads of butter! Any clues as to why this might be?
