Hi there, Robin! It sounds like your starter is doing just fine  — a starter will naturally rise and then fall over time. After being fed, typically a starter will reach its peak in about 6 to 8 hours, and a little while after that, it'll start to collapse. In warmer, more humid weather this process can be a bit faster though. We hope this helps!
