Hi there, Alicia! As long as there are no pink or orange streaks or any fuzzy mold, your starter should be just fine! If there is a lot of liquid, you can pour it off but if there isn't much, you can stir it back in — this liquid is called "hooch" and it's the alcohol the starter produces naturally. After a couple of days of feeding every 12 hours at room temperature, your starter should be back to normal!
