Thx for asking. I had this question, as well. I started mine yesterday but noticed a little discoloration in a few spots. I'm cleaning out my jar and starting over, putting it in another room and using cheesecloth (because the lid is wooden from my grandfather and, even though it's clean, it's porous. Hoping it works and looking forward to trying the discard recipes, too.
