Hi, Patti! Your starter may take a few more days to fully mature than one that got an extra nutritional boost from whole wheat flour, but if you're patient, it'll still get there! As far as dryness goes, you're looking for a starter that's about the consistency of pancake batter. If it's feeling too dry, just add a bit more water until it looks right. You've got this!
