Hi, Dawn! Feel free to keep feeding your starter whole wheat, or switch over to bread flour if you like. Either way, if you find that your starter is getting a bit thicker than expected (due to the fact that both whole wheat flour and bread flour absorb more liquid than all-purpose flour does), you can add a little more water to your feeding until your starter looks about like pancake batter in consistency.
