Hi, all. I think this is a fantastic website and I am really enjoying making the recipes with discard starter, such as crackers and pizza. However I want to point out a continuous and pretty significant lack of clarity in your measurements. You’ll keep referring to one cup as 4 ounces, then in the same sentence refer to half a cup is 4 ounces. I’m looking at a measuring cup: one cup is 8 ounces, 1/2 Cupfour.
This is really significant because the relationship of flour to warm water in your feeder batch is important. So what is it? 1 cup flour to 1/2 cup water, or 1/2 cup flour to 1/2 cup water? Other than this honest confusion I couldn’t be happier with this site and its information
