Hi, Linda! A jar with the lid left on it lightly (not airtight) is a good way to go. If your container latches and has a rubber ring around the inside, just remove the ring and go ahead and latch it. (This is a great solution for folks with pets or small children who might otherwise try and get into their starter.) It should be protected from dust, but still allow just a little bit of air to get in. Happy baking!
