Shikha, you should be able to put it in the refrigerator for that time at Day 6. Your starter will probably take a few more days to become fully active, but it's unlikely to spoil during that time. If you come home and it has a layer of liquid on the top, that's just fine. You can mix it back into your starter and continue. If you see any orange or pink streaks, though, you should definitely throw it out. Happy baking!
