Kristin, the process can take time, so we'd urge you to hang on to your patience. If your starter is bubbling even just a little, then there is some activity there that can be developed! In addition to temperature and frequent feeding, feeding your starter a balanced meal is also hugely important to getting it active. To be sure you're getting the correct amount of flour into each feeding, we recommend using a scale whenever possible. If you do measure by volume, it's important to follow our method for measuring flour to get the relatively light cup (4 oz) intended. This is a fairly common pitfall, and it may simply be that you need to lighten up your starter a bit to allow it to rise more fully. Other common problems include not discarding before each feeding and feeding with a bleached flour. We encourage you to give our free and friendly Baker's Hotline a call so that we can talk through the different possible problem areas and solutions: 855-371-BAKE. Mollie@KAF
