Found all the detail very helpful - thank you! Excited about being able to make my own sourdough bread! The first three days were great, got great response - good smells and quite bubbly. Since I started the feedings twice a day on day 3 the activity lessened to just a few bubbles on the top every day between feedings. Now I am on day 8, and still nothing is happening really, just still a couple bubbles, no change in size, hardly no smell, and it's getting almost sticky gluey consistency. I have followed all the directions very closely, with the un-chlorinated water and kind of flour and I keep it in my oven with the light on (about 70-80F). Is this normal? Will it spring to life one day? Please let me know if you have any suggestions/recommendations/advice/help! Thank you!
