I was getting a great response from the starter for the first couple days, but it very suddenly stopped growing. I've been continuing feeding it twice daily, thinking it might be the temperature in my apartment (Chicago winter, lots of windows) i've also been trying different spots. Should I keep going even though it only has one or two bubbles on top at the end of each 12 hours? Or should I start over? Also, I do not have access to a kitchen scale and have just been removing a half cup of starter each time. Could this be the issue?
