I have been wanting to make a starter but they always turn pink. "Warm room temperature" is 70F? Not around here! My home, with central AC running, is 80F April-November. Then we turn the air off and it never gets below 68F indoors in the winter, remaining above 76F at least 90% of the time. How to make sourdough in the Florida Panhandle?
