I have an organic sourdough rye bread flour-mix bought from overseas. When I bake a bread from it I add water and oil, knead it and let it rise for 3 hours before baking it per instructions. It it a 1lb bag that contains a mix of the following: whole wheat flour, sour dough flour, c vitamin and salt. I love the bread this mix produces but I only have two bags of it left. I would like to start a starter from this mix. Is that possible? What I mean is that what if I try the recipe above but instead of using flour I use this mix? Could it work, or would it just go bad? I would really appreciate your input! Thank you.
